Dr Rachel Guest is a dedicated Consultant General Surgeon and Senior Clinical Lecturer with specialist expertise in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. Dr Guest completed her undergraduate medical degree and intercalated degree at Imperial College London before undertaking postgraduate specialty training in General Surgery, completing her higher surgical training in 2019. Dedicated to advancing surgical science alongside her clinical practice, she earned a PhD in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and completed an Advanced Specialist Training Fellowship in hepatobiliary and transplant surgery. Her academic and clinical achievements are recognised through prestigious honours, including a Wellcome Trust Clinical Career Development Fellowship and a Clinical Lecturer award from the Academy of Medical Sciences.
Her clinical practice covers a wide spectrum of General Surgery with a focus on hepatopancreatobiliary conditions. Dr Guest has particular clinical interests in primary liver cancer, cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), primary sclerosing cholangitis, and gallstone disease.
