Mr Peter Vaughan-Shaw

Mr Peter Vaughan-Shaw is a General Surgeon. They are passionate about delivering high quality surgical outcomes for their patients. They believe surgical training is central to this and sits as a member of the robotic task force of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Mr Vaughan-Shaw has a keen interest in surgical technology and innovation and is Associate Editor of the British Journal of Surgery, focusing on this area. Outside of their clinical work, they are actively involved in research.

Mr Vaughan-Shaw was awarded Trainee Coloproctologist of the Year in 2021 and was President of the trainee arm of the Association of Coloproctology of the UK and Ireland between 2020-2021.

Mr Vaughan-Shaw graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 2007. They are a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
