In 1991 he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and later on, continued his training and development at several teaching hospitals in London including; Whipps Cross University, The Royal London, St Bartholomew's and The Royal Free hospital in Hampstead. He earned a master's degree in general surgery from the University of London, for his research work in cancer in 1998. He has general interests in general surgery, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal as well as bowel conditions. Additionally, he provides an alternative to more radical abdominal surgery, Trans-anal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEM), which offers a minimally invasive solution for the excision of certain rectal polyps and early-stage rectal tumours.
Mr Mohsen now offers minimally invasive surgery using the da Vinci 5 Surgical System at The Clementine Churchill Hospital, the UK's first private hospital to adopt this advanced robotic-assisted technology. Leveraging enhanced precision, 3D visualisation, and wristed instruments, they deliver improved surgical outcomes, shorter recovery times, and care across his specialties in general and colorectal surgery.
