I met Mr. Purkayastha yesterday and was both impressed and reassured by him. The consultation was thorough and unrushed - time was taken to listen to my explanation of events leading up to the consultation and his explanation of treatment I might need was very clear. Secondly, and perhaps even more importantly for me, I have some issues around endoscopic procedures and Mr. Purkayastha immediately set my mind at ease by setting out what he and his team would do to make this tolerable. He dealt with my issues in a warm and compassionate manner and I feel very reassured I am in safe hands going forward.

Mr Purkayastha was incredibly kind and helpful. He was very thorough in making sure I was physically and mentally fit for surgery and I felt assured that I was in the best shape possible pre surgery. I struggle with my mental health and he has been extremely understanding and caring, ensuring I was well looked after. Throughout my care he has been very careful to explain everything properly and this extended to my family as well. I can’t praise Mr Purkayastha enough, he is everything you would want from a surgeon!
