Mr Vijay Gadhvi

Mr Vijay Gadhvi is a Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon. They treat patients with vascular, venous and general surgical conditions such as hernias and gallstones. They perform endovenous laser treatment (ELT) to treat unsightly and painful varicose veins. For patients who are not suitable for endovenous laser treatment, Mr Gadhvi offers surgical varicose vein treatment. They also use a minimally invasive procedure to treat axillary and palmar hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the axilla and palms).

Mr Gadhvi has a passion for teaching and training; they lead for undergraduate surgical teaching and are an examiner for undergraduate final examinations for University College London. UCL students awarded them the Best Teacher prize. They are involved in post-graduate training of senior registrars and consultants. Mr Gadhvi takes pride in working closely with patients, their families and their primary care physicians in providing meticulous clinical care and working within a strong vascular team to provide up-to-date treatments.

Mr Gadhvi graduated from Barts and The London medical school in 2000 with Honours and during their undergraduate training they won the Draper's scholarship and were awarded a first-class Bachelor of Science degree in physiology and anatomy. After completing their basic and higher surgical training in London and Essex, they received extensive training in vascular, endovascular and general surgery working with pioneers in the field. Mr Gadhvi was awarded a Masters of Science degree, specialising in the application of new technologies and innovations to surgery, at Imperial College of Technology, London.
