Mr Midhat N Siddiqui

Mr Midhat Siddiqui is a Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon with extensive experience. He has undertaken more than 3000 advanced laparoscopic procedures to date. He initially qualified as a doctor from the University of Bristol in 1983 and since then he has been devoted to providing excellent care. He focuses not only on the operations, but he also ensures that patients are well looked after following treatment.

He is currently a Senior Consultant Surgeon at the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and he also has 15 years of valuable experience in the private sector. He is highly skilled in performing routine gastrointestinal operations using modern keyhole techniques. His interest is extended to bariatric surgery and thus, he offers various laparoscopic procedures for weight loss. Moreover, Mr Siddiqui is also very competent in performing paedeatric routine procedures such as appendectomies and orchidopexies.

He is very active in both teaching and research work. He has more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals and he is one of the most highly regarded teachers in laparoscopic techniques. His excellent contributions in the field of gastrointestinal surgery have been rewarded as he holds 8 awards of Clinical excellence and in 2013, he was featured as one of the UK's top leading surgeons in his field.
