Mr Fortune Iwuagwu is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon, currently sees private patients at Ramsay Springfield Hospital, Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital and Spire London East Hospital.

Mr Iwuagwu trained in many of the internationally recognised plastic surgery units in the country before spending over a year at the Christine Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in the United States. On return from the United States, he was appointed to the post of Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon at the St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford and the Whipps Cross University Hospital, London, a position he has held from 2003 till date.

Mr Iwuagwu's private practice includes procedures such as breast reduction, breast enlargement (augmentation), breast uplift (mastopexy), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), ear pinning, microsurgical breast reconstruction after cancer (DIEP), male breast reduction (gynaecomastia), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, excision of lipomas, repair of split ear lobes, surgical treatment of tattoos and calf augmentation. He offers non-surgical procedures such as dermal fillers and muscle relaxers.

In addition, Mr Iwuagwu also performs hand microsurgical reconstruction of the hands both for trauma and elective pathologies. Some of the elective hand procedures include hand rejuvenation by fat transfer, Dupuytren's disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglion, trigger finger and post hand trauma conditions such as contractures, delayed presentation of tendon division. He also treats patients with skin cancer and moles.

Mr Iwuagwu offers a personal service from consultation to post-treatment care. Consultations are not rushed and time is given to discuss your operation and answer any concerns you may have. Mr Iwuagwu will always give an honest opinion and provides leaflets for further reading. Patients have the option of seeing Mr Iwuagwu twice before a cosmetic procedure and there is no charge for the second consultation. This allows the patient to digest the information from the first consultation and to undertake their own research so that they feel able to make an informed decision about whether to go ahead with the procedure.
