Prof. Ben Miranda explained the procedures thoroughly, he was very approachable and happy to answer any questions I had. I would not hesitate to approach Prof Miranda if required in the future.

Prof. Ben Mirana was great from start to finish. He gave clear diagnosis, action plans and timelines. He was extremely considerate to my circumstances of wanting surgery prior to IVF and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done in my best interest. During surgery I was extremely calm, despite arriving very nervous, and this is due to Prof. Miranda taking time to listen to my cause for nerves (previously bad experience with another consultant), and reassuring me on why that was nothing to worry about this time. Surgery was quick, painless and aftercare was explained clearly. All of this care and attention from Prof. Miranda has resulted in a far better outcome than I'd expected prior to meeting him. He made it very clear to me that the procedure would leave a scar on my face, so I was prepared throughout, but I have to say, the scar is immaculate, and has caused me no concerns at all! I am over the moon with the result, and the scar left is sympathetic to the natural contours of my face, and will further fade in time due to the care taken during surgery. I am beyond grateful for the attention to detail applied by Prof. Miranda. I highly recommend him to everyone!

My first and lasting experience of Prof Miranda was a lovely kind man, made me feel very comfortable, I felt safe and in very good hands, he was professional and gave me all the information I needed for me to make my decision to go ahead with my procedure.

Prof Miranda and his team were fantastic from start to finish. I was worried about the way my ears looked as I had my diamond earrings ripped out of the lobes. They were split badly and Prof Miranda did an amazing job repairing them. He took the time to explain everything to me, including the risks and benefits of the surgery so that I knew exactly what to expect. I would highly recommend Prof Miranda to everyone looking for a Plastic Surgeon.

I cannot recommend Prof Mirander highly enough. He gave me every confidence in his ability to achieve good results in my complex Dupuytrens disease operation. Everything was thoroughly explained and he’s care was second to none. The results are quite amazing which I really didn’t expect. Thank you Prof Mirander.

Professor Ben Miranda is a miracle worker. In September 2022 I suffered a horrific accident at work, which left my (right) predominant hand in a very troubling way. I sustained a nasty crushing injury which resulted in a laceration across the palm, which de-gloved my hand to the tendons. I also severely broke my middle finger, which left me with great concerns over my future and the ability to use the hand again. Within hours Ben had me under the knife and worked his magic. Carefully cleaning the wound and checking for subsequentially damage to the tendons and other ligaments. Once checked he then got to work on repairing the bone of my finger and closing the wound. After a few hours I was awake with my arm bandaged up on the road to recovery. within a few days I was back home with my family. Prof. Miranda’s team sought to my dressing less than a week after the operation and for the first time I got to see the palm which looked bruised but on the mend. With the hand heeling nicely Ben recommended hand therapy treatment and continuous care from himself and his team. There and then, I knew I felt assured my hand would make a good recovery. With my own self-imposed expectations I was hoping to have a fair range of movement with somewhat limitations. After 2 months of the surgery I was able to start to make some form of a fist with the middle finger not at full functionality yet. Within the passing weeks I grew more and more confident that I may be able to live with the limitations set out in front of me. But still, I knew I had the self-drive and motivation supported by the team of Prof. Miranda and his team. After a session with the hand therapist it became apparent that some of the limitations to the middle finger were down to a “triggering” of the tendons and ligaments. Conversations and consultations lead towards possibly another operation to release the trigger and allow full range of movement. Prof. Miranda’s excellent knowledge of the issue lead him to treat the triggering with a simple steroid injection to assist with the movement. Within 3 days I found that it had not only helped release it, but also enabled me to once again make a fully engaged fist. I no longer had any pain or restrictions and I was ecstatic with the ability to do what I could. The injury to my hand was not only physically painful but also mentally damaging too. With negative thoughts on ‘how will I live with a non-functioning hand?’, to ‘how will be able to hold my daughters hands again?’, were soon pushed to one side once I fully understood what Prof. Miranda stood for. Prof. Miranda’s academical knowledge, professionalism, kind gestures and devotion to patients care undoubtably assured me that I was in the very best of care. His medical supporting cast persistently reflected Ben’s Ethos and delivered in every sense imaginable. It is hard to articulate the overwhelming gratitude I have for Prof. Miranda and all his team. I will forever be grateful for everything you have done. Thank you.
