Mr Daoud Makki

Mr Daoud Makki is a renowned Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at HCA Healthcare, located at 31 Old Broad Street. He also works for the NHS at West Hertfordshire Trust, where he is the Lead for the Enhanced Recovery Programme. He has extensive experience in all fields of orthopaedic surgery, with a focus on sports medicine and shoulder and elbow surgery. He specialises in diagnostic arthroscopies, open shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder stabilisation, rotator cuff repair, and upper limb trauma repair.

In 2001, he graduated from the Lebanese University Medical School and went on to undertake his basic surgical training in the East of England Deanery. For his MD thesis, he was awarded a Gold Medal. Following that, he specialised further and completed a fellowship in shoulder surgery in Manchester and trained at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Throughout his career, he has been widely published, including a chapter on shoulder arthroplasty in a medical textbook. He is also involved in research and has built a reputation for himself on a global scale by presenting his work all over the world.
