We were highly recommended Matt by a friend who had been under his care for the births of two of their children. Having had a difficult first pregnancy and birth two years prior, choosing Matt as our consultant and a planned c section the Kensington Wing for my second baby was the best decision we ever made and was a completely different, calm experience that I didn't think would be possible. He is incredibly compassionate and attentive, and everything is handled with professionalism and patience. I was made to feel safe and in expert hands from start to finish and couldn't recommend him higher - thank you for everything. Special shout out also to his amazing PA, Sarah, who always responded quickly, always went above and beyond to help with any questions, and made the admin side of things a seamless experience for us throughout.

Matt safely delivered our baby boy via elective section at the Ken Wing. Matt has a lovely bedside manner - he is calm, caring, and professional. He made me feel reassured about the pregnancy, which I really needed after going through IVF treatment and a miscarriage. Matt and his secretary Sarah were brilliant at quickly getting back to whatsap messages and organising appointments in advance which was much appreciated especially as I live several hours outside of London. Matt made me feel calm even when the surgery was moved forward unexpectedly for medical reasons. He made my pregnancy a very positive experience. I would highly recommend Matt.

We cannot thank Matthew enough for the care he provided during the birth of our baby girl. When things didn’t go to plan, he was absolutely exceptional calm, reassuring, and completely in control at a time when you are your most vulnerable. His presence brought a sense of confidence and peace. He explained everything clearly, supported us through every moment, and showed genuine compassion and professionalism throughout. We quite literally could not have done it without him.

We were delighted with the care provided by Matt throughout my pregnancy and birth. Every question or concern was met with calm and knowledgeable responses - we felt in such safe hands and it really allowed us to relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Our planned induction was an incredibly positive and peaceful birth experience, in contrast to my first birth, and I’m very grateful to Matt for enabling this. Matt safely delivered our baby boy on 16th January and from start to finish, the quality of his care and skill, combined with genuine compassion and kindness have given us the most positive birth experience we could have wished for. In 2023, we had a deeply traumatising first birth of our baby girl at our local NHS hospital in Wales such that I was too fearful to trust them with our second birth. After much research, we decided to come under Matt's care to privately deliver at the Kensington Wing. Logistically being based in Wales was no issue for Matt and his PA Sarah who made the whole process stress free and workable to deliver by induction at 38 weeks. I began this pregnancy overwhelmed with fear of birth and never believed the experience could ever be "positive" only for Matt to prove me wrong. Throughout my care, he has been so reassuring and empathetic, gaining my trust and giving me back the birth experience I was denied first time around which has meant the world. My birth was calm, controlled and I felt in the safest of hands throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt - I will be forever grateful.

Choosing Matt to perform my c-section and carry out my prenatal care was one of the best decisions I have ever made. From the very beginning, I felt listened to, respected, and truly cared for by Matt. Every concern I had was taken seriously, and I was never made to feel rushed or dismissed. When it came time for my c-section, the experience went better than I could have ever imagined for both myself and my husband. Everything was calm, reassuring, and handled with such compassion and professionalism. This birth didn’t just go well, it genuinely helped heal the trauma I carried from my first experience. I felt safe, supported, and confident throughout the entire process, which is something I never thought I would be able to say about giving birth again. I am so grateful for the care I received from Matt and for the positive, empowering birth experience he gave me. After a very traumatic birth with my first child, my husband and I decided to have a planned c section in the Kensington wing with Dr Cauldwell. What a healing, incredible, safe and reassuring process it was. Despite going into labour 5 days early in the middle of the night, Matt was at the Kensington wing within 20 minutes, ready to calmly bring our baby girl into the world. It was just the most amazing experience, at no point did I feel frightened, unsafe or nervous (having had a pretty horrific experience with my first birth). I feel so healed in ways I didn't realise. I was under Matt’s care from 10 weeks and our baby girl was safely delivered via elective c section at the Kensington Wing at Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Matt was calm, patient, a proactive listener and provided clear explanations, combining his own experience and evidence based research, to help us with every decision. Choosing a consultant was a huge decision for me and my husband, especially as first time parents having undergone IVF, but going with Matt was a no brainer after the first meet and greet. My husband and I trusted Matt entirely throughout the pregnancy. Matt really got to know us and would always choose his words carefully to ensure we understood the important points and weren’t overwhelmed by unnecessary detail. Matt read us well and meant we could speak freely and left every appointment completely happy that all our questions were covered. Matt was always available via WA and very responsive. Special shout out to Matt’s PA, Sarah, who was organised and took away a lot of anxiety around logistics. Sarah was extremely responsive, helped liaise with KW on my behalf and knew the process and administrative aspects inside out. Everything was seamless between Matt, Sarah and the KW team and I never had to (re)explain myself and what was needed. I had to go in for some urgent tests on a weekend and by the time I got to KW, Matt had already asked the team to expect me and communicated what was required.
