I would highly recommended Matt to anyone. He went above and beyond for us right from the start of my pregnancy and listened carefully and patiently to any questions or concerns I had. Matt always took the time to explain things very clearly. Going into the birth itself (my second planned c-section) I was quite nervous but again Matt did all that he could to put me at ease and everything went very smoothly and calmly. I also received excellent care after the birth.

We are so grateful to Dr. Cauldwell for the safe arrival of our son and couldn't be happier that we chose him as our consultant. I had an incredibly anxious pregnancy and Dr. Cauldwell calm and compassionate manner as well as his significant expertise ensured that not only I felt as reassured as possible but also that my husband was comfortable we were in the best hands for both my health and that of our baby. Dr Cauldwell has a holistic view of the whole experience and personally made sure that I was connected to other resources when necessary, always taking my endless questions seriously which was very much appreciated by me. He was also fantastic on the day of my elective c section and through his gentle encouragement I actually finally managed to enjoy the experience. I must also mention Sarah, his PA - who is incredibly kind, supportive and organised - she really made us feel like we had the strongest team behind us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Cauldwell - I truly believe he made a hugely positive difference to our experience.

This is the second time I’ve been under Matt’s care due to high risk pregnancies and once again I can’t fault it. He is reassuring, whilst being realistic and kept me informed and included in the decision making throughout my pregnancy. I can’t rate Matt highly enough, he provides exceptional care that we will be forever grateful for.

I had a planned CS with Dr Matt for my second baby, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr Matt is very gentle, compassionate, pays attention to every single detail and is very professional. I highly recommend Dr Matt! With my first baby, I actually had a very bad experience four years ago with another consultant and I decided not to have more kids, but Dr Matt helped me overcome my previous experience and I’m very blessed I chose him my consultant this time. Matthew was our consultant for our first pregnancy and baby who was delivered in March 2024. We could not have asked for a better experience. Calm, clear and matter of fact, Matthew always ensured that questions were answered, explanations were clear and that we had the support and reassurance needed at each stage of the journey. No question was too silly or too small and we both felt fully comfortable with him. It often felt like talking to a friend instead of lots of confusing medical terminology which can be overwhelming. The birth itself - an elective C section went smoothly and my recovery has been quick. Under Matthew's guidance and care, I felt surprisingly relaxed and calm my whole pregnancy and birth and I truly believe that this has had a significant impact in our first days as parents and our overall mindset. I would not hesitate in using Matthew again if we were lucky enough to have a second child, or to recommend him to others.

Matt was calming, informative and super empathetic. I was a first time expectant mum with a blood condition and very nervous. Matt reassured me with extra scans and comforting what’s apps. He was there every step of the way! A magical delivery and great after care. His secretary Sarah was also incredibly kind and friendly.

We had Matt right from the beginning of our pregnancy and we are so grateful we did. We met with a number of consultants but knew as soon as we spoke with Matt that he was the consultant we wanted to go with. His calm and knowledgeable demeanour along with his kind and thoughtful approach made the whole pregnancy much more relaxing. No question was too small or silly, he was super responsive and always put my mind at ease. I had an elective c section and the surgery itself was amazing. Compared to my first with the NHS, it was night and day. It was such a calm and happy atmosphere, which was focused on creating special memories. I would highly recommend Matt’s services. I should also mention Sarah, Matt’s PA, who is impeccably organised and absolutely lovely. If we dare to have a third… we know who we’re coming to! Thank you!!

I could not rate Matt more highly or be more grateful for the hugely positive experience that he pathed the way for. We were with him from the very beginning of my pregnancy journey through to my planned c-section at The Kensington Wing. My husband and I felt safe, cared for and respected from day one. No question or request was too small or too big for him or his wonderful Secretary, Sarah whether that be during clinic hours or via WhatsApp when needed. I think also worth noting that my now almost invisible scar was exceptionally neat from day one. By nature I am an incredible anxious person, but with Matt I was able to enjoy the calmest pregnancy and delivery possible. Choosing to align with him for this journey was absolutely the best decision we could have made.

Matt looked after us from 20 weeks pregnant as we were looking for continuity of care and to get to know the person that would be delivering our baby. As fairly nervous patients, he immediately put us at ease with his wealth of knowledge, calm demeanour and 247 support. Whilst labour was longer than anticipated, we were confident throughout in Matt’s care. We would highly recommend Matt and hope to use him again ourselves in future.
