Having the same doctor guide me through both journeys made the experience even more special and reassuring. From start to finish, the care, professionalism, and support I received were truly outstanding. I always felt safe, heard, and in the best hands during such important moments in my life. Thank you for making both of my birth experiences so positive - we’re now home and recovering well.

Matthew was great. He was checking up on me very regularly. He always came to see how I was doing and explained everything very clearly. Would take him up again any time , the experience was very good.

We have been lucky enough to have Matt deliver both of our daughters and have had a wonderful experience both times. He has a lovely way of making you feel very relaxed and as a result, I have had two very enjoyable births. Couldn’t recommend him more - if you are thinking of a private birth I would definitely say that Matt is your man! Everything is explained in a very straightforward, easy to understand way and he is so calm throughout, which gives you a lot of confidence.

We had a wonderful experience with Matt, who delivered our baby girl via elective C-section. From our first consultation, he was kind, calm, and incredibly reassuring. I experienced quite a bit of health anxiety during my pregnancy, and his thoughtful approach made such a difference. He always took the time to listen carefully to any concerns and never made me feel rushed. He explained everything so clearly and in detail, talking us through each step of the process. This really helped put my mind at ease, and we always felt fully supported and confident in his care. On the day of our C-section, everything felt calm and very well organised. Matt and the team created such a reassuring environment. His professionalism, alongside his warmth and empathy, made the whole experience incredibly positive. My C-section scar is also healing amazingly well, which is a real testament to his skill and care. We’re so grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a supportive and highly skilled obstetrician.

We can’t thank Matt enough for giving us the gift of our son. We were anxious coming into this pregnancy following some previous medical issues and a long fertility journey. Matt instantly put us at ease and we felt safe and cared for by him throughout. He took the time to get to know us as people not just patients and that meant a lot.

I can’t recommend Matt highly enough. He is absolutely exceptional. My daughter arrived three weeks early in mid-March via an emergency C-section, and he was at the hospital within minutes of us arriving. He made me feel calm and safe throughout what was a very overwhelming experience. I had been seeing him from 10 weeks of pregnancy onwards, and I feel incredibly lucky to have chosen him. After the birth, I was in hospital for seven days, and he came to check on me most days, which meant so much. I’m truly so grateful for his care and support and will absolutely be back for any future pregnancies. His PA, Sarah, is also absolutely wonderful—so kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Matt has provided incredible care throughout the final stages of my pregnancy and delivered our baby smoothly. He has provided clear guidance and reassurance and no question has been too small. I am so grateful for Matt’s expertise and care.

After a traumatic experience with the NHS during the birth of our first child, we chose to seek private maternity care for our second. From our very first call with Matthew, we knew we were in the right hands. He took the time to truly listen, validating my previous experience with genuine empathy and sensitivity and from then on, I felt supported, understood and reassured. I had hoped for another vaginal delivery, but as our baby remained breech for most of the pregnancy, we were faced with the decision of an elective C-section. Initially, I felt hesitant and anxious, but Matthew guided us through everything with such calm reassurance that I felt confident we were making the safest choice for both myself and our baby. The c section was a truly beautiful and healing experience, something I never thought possible after my first birth. Matthew’s care alongside the incredible team at the Kensington Wing, has been nothing short of exceptional. We are so grateful for the compassion, professionalism and unwavering support we received from Matthew and we cannot thank him enough for the care that has meant so much to our family.

Had a lovely experience with Dr Matthew Cauldwell! He informed me well about everything we needed to know, and helped us make important choices. He was always available and respectful. An amazing doctor to have present at an important moment in life. Afterwards, he helped us find our way with private midwives and lactation consultants as well. Highly recommend!

We were highly recommended Matt by a friend who had been under his care for the births of two of their children. Having had a difficult first pregnancy and birth two years prior, choosing Matt as our consultant and a planned c section the Kensington Wing for my second baby was the best decision we ever made and was a completely different, calm experience that I didn't think would be possible. He is incredibly compassionate and attentive, and everything is handled with professionalism and patience.
