We were delighted to safely welcome our healthy and happy baby boy with Matt via elective c-section on 4th September. For that, we will be forever grateful. Our experience was everything we could have hoped for. We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to look back at our prenatal and birth experience and want to change nothing! We reached out to Matt on understanding that we may need a c-section following an incorrect diagnosis of placenta previa on the NHS. From that point, Matt provided both the consistency of care and expert reassurance that helped ensure as first time parents we always felt looked after. Matt was available at all hours on WhatsApp and having him at the end of the phone instilled a calm through pregnancy that continued right through to birth and beyond. His knowledge on gestational diabetes was particularly useful with a late stage diagnosis. Matt’s approach was perfect for us. He is a fountain of knowledge and always led with the data and the facts. Listening to our wants but kindly guiding and walking us through how to make those decisions based on all his experience and the relevant papers on any given subject. It is clear that Matt is passionate about maternity care in all that he does in his practice, and it shows. My c-section recovery has also been amazing. Dr. Matt recently cared for us throughout my first pregnancy and delivered our healthy baby boy via an elective C-section. After interviewing five or six consultants at Chelsea, we chose Matt and could not be happier with that decision. From the moment we decided to move forward with him through to postpartum care, we received truly personalized attention. He’s data-led, thorough, and reliably responsive. This is exactly the kind of partner we wanted to guide us through our first birth. That same level of care carried through to the team at the Kensington Wing during our recovery. What stood out most was how present he remained after birth, checking in on us multiple times both in person and by phone. We felt genuinely well cared for at every stage. We highly recommend Dr. Matt for maternity care and would make the same choice again without hesitation.

Matt is an exceptional doctor and a most trusted medical partner. He was instrumental in the thankfully uneventful development of my high risk pregnancy at 47 years of age and the smooth deliveey of our baby boy. He enabled us to own and make informed decisions with the support of his immense knowledge, but equally did not hesitate to make his opinions known when it mattered. This combination made us feel equally empowered and assured that we were doing what was best for the baby. Matt was also immensely patient with my understandable anxieties and always provided a balanced and calm perspective, a senaible base against which to calibrate my concerns. When it came to the delivery, his work was technically outstanding and his presence again constant, calm, light and unintrusive but value adding. If I were to do this again, knowing what ai know now, I would not consider any other doctor to support me. I would recommend Matt without any hesitation to anyone who is looking for outstanding professional and human care.

I feel so lucky to have had Matt as my consultant for our first baby. He was attentive, easy to schedule with (his PA Sarah is amazingly responsive), and really kept me at ease through the entire process. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother delivery - he was amazing, calm, reassuring - everything you could want for the birth of your first baby! Already looking forward to baby number 2!

Matt makes you feel completely at ease about birth; he is very supportive and provides all the information you need to make decisions and feel confident. My c-section went incredibly smoothly and I would highly recommend him.

I honestly cannot recommend Matthew highly enough. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, I felt so incredibly well cared for. Matthew has such a wonderful manner, he’s calm, kind, reassuring and exceptionally knowledgeable. Throughout my pregnancy, I always felt that he genuinely listened to me. I went into the birth trusting him completely, and I am so grateful that I did. We ended up needing an emergency c-section. However, even if with a change in our original plans, I can truly say that I had a really positive birth experience and felt so well supported. Matthew’s calmness, expertise and reassurance made us feel completely safe, and we knew without question that we were in the best possible hands. He explained what was happening, guided us through the decisions that needed to be made and made a difficult situation feel controlled and reassuring. Most importantly, he delivered our beautiful baby boy safely, and I will never be able to adequately express how grateful we are to him for that.

I had Dr Matt Cauldwell for our first baby and he was very patient oriented, had a lovely manner, and was able to guide us through my preferred way of delivery which fortunately turned out to be very straightforward. He was responsive and very attentive throughout - couldn’t recommend him highly enough. In addition, his team at the Kensington Wing was also amazing.

Dr Cauldwell delivered both my children and in both cases it was the perfect experience. It has taken me a long time to get round to writing this because I had 2 under 2 but Matt took such great care of me during the pregnancy and both c-sections that I wanted to leave a great review.
