Dr. Shan Low was excellent to my partner and I throughout our entire pregnancy and delivery. My partner and I are first time parents and originally from different countries. Navigating the antenatal process in the UK was new territory for us and Dr. Shan Low provided us with ample time, care, understanding and explanation to ensure our experience was as seamless as possible. We especially appreciated Dr. Shan Low's recommendation of literature and studies that we could reference to make informed decisions about our birthing plan. Further, Dr. Shan Low went above and beyond what is typically expected of an obstetrician in terms of communication, offering her availability via Whatsapp messaging, during evening hours for phone calls and even assisting with insurance queries. My partner and I ended up booking a caesarean section due to the factors of my pregnancy. Dr. Shan Low did an excellent job at putting our minds at ease during the lead up to the day of the procedure and, on the day, executed the procedure with extreme skill and precision - many of the midwives providing me with after care even remarked on how neat her work was! Finally, Dr. Shan Low checked in on us both days we were in the hospital during recovery and was prompt in scheduling a follow up appointment. In closing, my partner and I can truly never capture in words how thankful we are to Dr. Shan Low for providing us with our greatest gift - our daughter. We highly recommend Dr. Shan Low to anyone that is seeking a highly skilled and empathetic professional for their pregnancy journey and would definitely return to Dr. Shan Low again in the future should we ever have another child.

She is incredibly kind and considerate of patients’ needs. It speaks volumes when the attending staff and nurses also speak positively about their consultant. She takes the time to share her knowledge and ensure we are informed in all decisions, addressing all questions. We trust Dr Shan Low’s expertise and care such that we are returning to her for a 2nd pregnancy/delivery.

It is the second time I choose Dr Yi Shan Low to take care of me and my baby during pregnancy. My first experience was so good, I had no doubt my second baby would be with her too. She is caring, knowledgeable with inpecable bed side manners. Gives detailed explanations of medical options and health issues. Listens carefully to your concerns and makes things happen! Just wonderful, couldn't recommend her enough!

Dr Shan was amazing. We had concerns about giving birth in the UK, she gave us an amazing relief. She was super responsive, addressing all the questions during pregnancy, going above and beyong to find the solutions to our problems. Great child birth experience as well. Definitely recommended!

Dr Shan is a fabulous consultant. Without her, we wouldn’t be able to have our first baby. My personal circumstances were challenging (I experienced several miscarriages) but since meeting Dr Shan and being under her care throughout my pregnancy, she was very attentive to our needs. She assisted us with carrying the correct tests and once I conceived, she ensured we were on the right medication. Throughout my first pregnancy, she was very kind, attentive, empathetic, personable and was the lead point of contact especially during the first trimester when I was the most vulnerable. I cannot thank her enough. With her guidance, she made our journey very easy and after the first try with Dr Shan Low we successful delivered our daughter. The right fit for myself was to have elective C section. The experience was positive. Dr Low was calm and comforting. She informed me every step of the way to reduce any anxiety. The Portland experience was exceptional and well managed. The C section was carried with utmost precision & efficiency. My C section scar is very fine and not very visible. I would highly recommend Dr Shan Low. We are now having a second baby and we are around 5 months. We have again been under her care right from the start of the pregnancy. She will deliver our baby boy in the Portland. Thank you Dr Shan.

Dr. Low is very kind, patient, and caring. She explains everything in great details and she makes me feel very comfortable and safe. Dr. Low puts patients first and she makes them feel well taken care of. She not only clearly and carefully explains and plans everything for me, but she communicates effectively through WhatsApp (God knows how many questions I have had!) Highly recommend!

It is impossible to adequately put into words our gratitude to Dr Shan Low for her continuous care, support and ultimate safe delivery of our daughter. If you are seeking a doctor who truly listens to what you want, puts your desires first and keeps the welfare of you and the baby at the top of everything whilst doing that, then Dr Shan Low is who you should work with. All of the midwives at the hospital speak so highly of Dr Shan Low which confirmed for me we had clearly made the right choice in doctor. She is incredibly responsive on whatsapp, I never had to wait for a response. It feels like you are her only priority. My delivery went as well as you could hope as did the aftercare, I felt in safe hands at every step. I can not recommend Dr Shan Low highly enough and enjoyed every moment in partnering with her during this very precious time.

The accessibility, responsiveness and all round communication throughout the entire pregnancy was amazing. We had the best care, advice and support throughout our pregnancy, which was especially appreciated given we had to have an emergency cesarian for our first child. She educated us on our options (VBAC) and another cesarian and supported our decision throughout but always provided her medical expertise depending on the scans and circumstances. Dr Low was incredible! We could not have wished for a more professional but also personable, caring, compassionate doctor to bring our baby safely into this world. If we are lucky enough to have a third, we would not go with anyone else. On behalf of my daughter Olivia, thank you so much Doctor Low!
