Dr Redfearn provided me with consultation pre c section, as well as performing my c section with my first child. She was professional, clear and compassionate throughout.
I had a wonderful experience under the care of Dr. Clare Redfearn during my pregnancy and after the delivery of my baby girl. From the very first appointment, they were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain every step of the process, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed. During such an important and sometimes stressful time, their calm and supportive approach made a huge difference. I always felt that I was in very capable hands. Their dedication to patient care and attention to detail truly stood out. I’m extremely grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Clare Redfearn to anyone looking for a compassionate and highly skilled obstetrics consultant.
Clare was very accommodating, understanding and helpful in a bit of a last minute crisis.
Dr Clare was very friendly professional and gave us advice as a couple with pregnancy pre planning. She helped calm and answer all our questions and doubts and we left feeling very informed positive and ready to take on our next chapter - thank you!
My husband and I recently had a preparing for birth consultation with Dr Redfearn as we are weeks away from having our baby. Clare was professional and explained everything throughly to us. She discussed different options for delivery and took into consideration my pre existing health conditions and what would be best for both baby and myself without disregarding my preferences. She also took her time to understand me and my health conditions and what may come up as obstacles during delivery to make sure we were aware and could plan effectively if these situations were to arise. I felt listened to, heard, validated and supported. Clare really took into consideration my mood and mental health and the impact of this on the different decisions and was really keen to make sure we were doing what was right and in the best interests of me and baby Holistically and not just physically and this is something I have not experienced before. Clare was not factual and did not make me feel as though I had to do one choice over another- she just took her time to explain and discuss all the options with us in depth. Clare spoke to my husband and made sure he was fullly involved in discussions as sometimes partners can be left out of discussions but she made sure he was included and heard. Overall I left the consultation feeling empowered to make decisions and feeling like I have all the information available to me.
Dr Redfearn, the most amazing Dr to walk the corridors of the maternity unit. I met Clare towards the end of my pregnancy when I had yet another scare with my high risk pregnancy, Clare came in to my room and instantly calmed me with informative non biased facts about my complex breach baby. Clare never rushed me and was happy to just sit and talk untill I was fully informed and happy I had a good plan in place. After that initial meeting within triage Clare offered to take me on in her clinic as the care I was receiving from another Dr was inconsistent, worrying and completely inept. From that day forward Dr Redfearn showed me true compassion every single time I needed her or when I had an appointment with her. Unfortunately my husband and I lost a baby late into a previous pregnancy which in turn left me extremely anxious and worried everyday, Clare understood this and genuinely cared not just because I was a patient of hers but because she genuinely is invested in the women behind the NHS numbers. As stated before I had a high risk pregnancy with different health problems but the main one was a breach baby who I wished to deliver naturally and Clare was my biggest supporter, she gave me the informed risks, the pros and cons of delivering our son naturally whilst breach and never once made me feel rushed to make a pressured decision to fit the hospitals wishes she gave me and my family so much information and then allowed us time and space to make our decision. Closer to my due date unfortunately my health deteriorated eventually meaning I had to end up having a planned ...
Read moreClare performed my elective c section and brought our baby Frank into the world so safely. Her reassurance, support and kindness is something I’ll never forget. We all felt so safe in her hands. I had significant blood loss due to elevated fluid and yet the theatre remained a calm, serene space – we didn’t even know that there was a complication. The care that followed was exemplary and Clare reassured me that everything would be fine, which it was. I wish I’d known about her classes prior to our section as I’d have definitely signed up!
We are so grateful for the exceptional care we received from Dr. Clare during our pregnancy and the birth of our baby. From start to finish, she was kind, compassionate, and deeply supportive. Her knowledge and expertise is exceptional and apparent in all the care she provides. Her calm presence and ability to explain everything so clearly helped alleviate our anxiety and made us feel completely safe and cared for throughout the entire experience. Clare truly went above and beyond, she advocated for all our wishes and needs to provide us with the most positive and safe pregnancy and birth experience. We’ll always remember how much her care meant to us during such an important time in our lives and will be eternally grateful.

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. It was an absolute pleasure caring for you and ensuring you were fully informed and supported in the decisions that you had to make leading up to the birth of your beautiful baby boy. I wish you and your family all the best.
I was under Clare’s care during my pregnancy, which was complicated by gestational diabetes, a history of a small-for-gestational-age baby, and previous birth trauma. From our very first appointment, Clare went above and beyond to provide truly exceptional care. She has a warm and reassuring bedside manner and communicates with such clarity and empathy — not just with me, but also with my husband, which made us both feel involved and supported throughout. Clare always took the time to explain my options, answered every question with patience, and empowered me to make informed decisions about my care. What stood out most was how proactive she was in addressing my previous birth trauma. She never minimised my experience. Instead, she actively sought ways to help prevent it from happening again — advocating for me at every step and tailoring my care to ensure I felt safe, heard, and in control. Clare is everything you would want in a consultant: knowledgeable, compassionate, and completely dedicated to giving the best possible care. I’m so grateful to have had her by my side.

I am so glad I was able to enable you to have strength and confidence in your birth again. I am glad I was able to help you navigate your way through your pregnancy and provide you with that control. It was a pleasure looking after you and seeing that strength shine through. Enjoy your beautiful boy!
We had the absolute pleasure of having Clare as our primary obstetrician in my recent pregnancy and birth. Clare is a very compassionate and supportive person who takes the time to get to know you, your birthing partner and truly listens to what your concerns and preferences are. Clare always ensured all options of care were balanced and discussed thoroughly, making our goal her priority. I had personally struggled with both physical and psychological aspects of pregnancy and Clare made me feel heard and seen. Clare has a very calming nature, which helped massively during pregnancy and my elective Caesarean birth when I was particularly anxious. Clare reassured me during the entire elective Caesarean journey and made sure we had all our questions answered. Thank you for being such a big part of our rollercoaster story of baby Raeph!

Thank you for the lovely feedback. I am so glad that you felt both your physical and psychological health were always at the forefront of your care, ensuring you were fully informed and reassured. Enjoy watching your little one grow!
