I could not rate Matt more highly or be more grateful for the hugely positive experience that he pathed the way for. We were with him from the very beginning of my pregnancy journey through to my planned c-section at The Kensington Wing. My husband and I felt safe, cared for and respected from day one. No question or request was too small or too big for him or his wonderful Secretary, Sarah whether that be during clinic hours or via WhatsApp when needed. I think also worth noting that my now almost invisible scar was exceptionally neat from day one. By nature I am an incredible anxious person, but with Matt I was able to enjoy the calmest pregnancy and delivery possible. Choosing to align with him for this journey was absolutely the best decision we could have made.

Matt looked after us from 20 weeks pregnant as we were looking for continuity of care and to get to know the person that would be delivering our baby. As fairly nervous patients, he immediately put us at ease with his wealth of knowledge, calm demeanour and 247 support. Whilst labour was longer than anticipated, we were confident throughout in Matt’s care. We would highly recommend Matt and hope to use him again ourselves in future.

Matt is an amazing doctor! Always responding to text. I had a planned c-section and discussed what I wanted to achieve (refusing scar tissue and remove keloid scar from the previous c-section) and everything went amazing. My scar looks so much better now!

My pregnancy journey had not been straight forward but as soon as we met Matt we knew he was the perfect person to help us through and finally deliver our miracle baby. Matt was incredibly kind and patient with me and offered reassurance when needed. We came to Dr Matt late in my pregnancy but from the moment we met I was very sure it was going to be a great experience. He took time to listen to my concerns and was happy to indulge my many questions! He was supportive & kind and very communicative - even going far beyond his remit in sorting out another medical issue that he was concerned about. My c section experience was perfect - calm, positive, happy. I would be happy to recommend Dr Matt to anyone!

Due to a very last minute need to book my C-Section, Matt bent over backwards to help support me in the scheduling, organising and conducting my procedure. He made a very anxious and panicked lady feel calm and safe, for which I am truly thankful.

I had a great experience with Dr. Cauldwell. I transferred to his care after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes vs. midwife led care. He monitored my glucose levels regularly, was very realistic about diet / exercise, and was available via text almost immediately for silly first time pregnancy questions especially when I had to travel frequently. When it came to the big day, I wanted to have a vaginal birth, but things did not progress as hoped and we had to have an unplanned c-section. While I was not thrilled with this at the time, in retrospect this was certainly the safest and best decision that we could've made given the other horror stories I've heard from my friends about their labours for 2-3 days, only to end up with an emergency c-section that risked the lives of both mother and baby. Plus, my baby had a very large head, so my recovery would have been potentially worse with a vaginal birth. I've had multiple comments from GPs and midwives about how small my c-section scar is too! Dr. Cauldwell explained everything as needed along the way and always gave me very practical and realistic advice / recommendations. I also am very happy with the ultrasound recommendation he made for the Medical Chambers Kensington, which is far better than my experience in 2 other locations. I am currently under his care for baby #2.

I cannot rate Matthew highly enough. He delivered my first child via an emergency c-section. Despite a having a stressful labour experience, Mattehew managed to turn things around, reassured me and gave me a wonderful birth experience. Pain and scarring post c-section were minimal. When I got pregnant with my second child I immediately called Matthew and went through the entire pregnancy and birth process with him, it was a wonderful experience too. He listens to you, gives good advice and is always respectful with your decisions. A genuinely caring professional.

This is the second time we had the luck of having Matt as our obstetrician after having our son in 2020; from the very beginning up until delivery he gave me such great support and reassurance through a trickier pregnancy this time round. Classed as a high risk patient with cardiac issues, Matt worked closely with the wider team looking after me to ensure everyone was joined up in my care, including when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Matt is personable and gives great explanations about everything that’s going on. I always felt that I understood what was going on and the options open to me. For a period of time where you feel pretty vulnerable as a woman, I always felt empowered in knowing I could change my mind or make decisions if I needed to without judgement. In the end due to a tricky baby that kept moving, I elected for a c section at 38 weeks, nearly 2 weeks on and I feel that I’m healing really well due to the care of Matt and the team. I’ve experienced both vaginal and c section deliveries under Matt’s care now and both times I’ve had great post natal care and outcomes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
