The Kensington Wing at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

Our experience at The Kensington Wing was excellent. From the reception team to the staff handling bloods and blood pressure checks, everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and sweet. Prior to our baby's arrival, I visited the ward for CTG monitoring and found the entire team to be wonderfully reassuring and professional. Following our C-section, we spent two days on the ward and the care we received was exceptional; we felt truly looked after. As first-time parents, we felt guided through the entire process, receiving outstanding physical, emotional, and clinical support. Thank you so much to the whole team.

Overall, I have had positive experiences at the Kensington Wing and would absolutely choose to return in the future. The facilities are excellent, comfortable, and familiar to me, which made a huge difference during such an important time. The clinical care itself was very good, and there is a reassuring atmosphere within the unit. However, I did experience significant frustration with the organisational and communication side of things, including midwife appointments not being scheduled properly etc. The worst part regarding my elective c section was around 15 hours before my scheduled surgery, we were informed that it had been cancelled due to the neonatal ward being full, which was, of course, a completely understandable reason clinically. What was difficult, however, was how poorly the situation was communicated and managed afterwards. We received no clear follow-up communication to explain that the procedure may still go ahead if capacity became available. As a result, I still had to fast overnight and take all of my pre-operative medication, including anti-acids, without any certainty about what was happening. In the end, the surgery did proceed a few hours later than planned once a neonatal bed became available. While I was very grateful this was possible, the uncertainty and lack of communication meant I had an incredibly restless and anxious final night before having my baby, which could have been avoided with clearer updates and better coordination. The Kensington Wing is an exceptional place to have a baby with caring midwives and wonderful peaceful postnatal care

I cannot recommend Dr Sadia highly enough. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, the care I received was truly exceptional. She was incredibly supportive, attentive, and always available whenever I had questions or concerns. I always felt comfortable reaching out to her, and she consistently responded with kindness and reassurance. Throughout the entire journey, she made me feel safe and at ease, even during moments when I felt anxious or overwhelmed. Her calm and professional manner, combined with her genuine compassion, gave me complete confidence that I was in the very best hands. The delivery itself, including my caesarean section, was handled with outstanding care and expertise. Everything went smoothly, and her presence made such a difference — I felt supported and reassured at every stage. Both my husband and I are incredibly grateful for her dedication and professionalism. She is an exceptional doctor, and I will wholeheartedly recommend her to everyone. We truly couldn’t have asked for better care. She is absolutely wonderful.

I have always been very satisfied with the treatment & attention I have received from all members of kensington wing team, whom I have always found to be most helpful and professional in their approach. I was completely impressed with their professionalism & polite , caring kind nature of all the midwives team & even the nursing staff.
