Dr Laura Dobson

Dr Laura Dobson is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist with recognised expertise in non-invasive cardiac imaging and valvular heart disease. Dedicated to delivering patient-focused, high-quality cardiovascular care, Dr Dobson specialises in the assessment and management of complex heart valve conditions, overseeing specialised valve surveillance services and supporting structural valve interventional procedures. Her clinical expertise encompasses advanced echocardiography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, and endocarditis care, ensuring comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and tailored treatment plans for every patient.

Dr Dobson earned her primary medical degree (MBChB) before undertaking specialist postgraduate training in Cardiology within the West Yorkshire Deanery. She further advanced her academic and clinical expertise by completing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree investigating the use of cardiac MRI in assessing aortic stenosis, as well as an Advanced Imaging Fellowship in non-invasive imaging in Melbourne, Australia. A leader in her field, Dr Dobson maintains active involvement in prominent professional organisations, serving as a Council member and officer for the British Heart Valve Society and contributing to the Programme Committee for the British Cardiovascular Society.
