Dr Freidoon Keshavarzi is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in Interventional Cardiology and Heart Failure at Manchester University Hospitals, and currently based at the Manchester Heart Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary and also at the University of Manchester as Honorary Senior Lecturer. He also sees private patients at Manchester Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Manchester Clinic Hale.

Dr Keshavarzi completed his medical degree in Tehran, Iran in 2000, subsequently completing his cardiology training in Oxford and Yorkshire deaneries. He was awarded a Membership with the Royal College of Physicians in 2010. He also completed a Fellowship in Advanced Interventional/Structural Cardiology at King's College Hospital, London in 2015 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training in the same year.

He has specialist expertise in the management of ischaemic heart disease, hypertension, palpitations, arrhythmias, angina, chest pain, shortness of breath. He also has several years experience carrying out a range of diagnostic procedures, including: ECG, echocardiogram, cardiac CT & MRI, coronary angiography. Dr Keshavarzi's expertise also expands to surgical procedures, in particular: stenting, percutaneous aortic valve implantation, cardioversion and keyhole procedures.

Dr Keshavarzi is the current Lead of the Catheterisation Laboratory as well as an inventor of few Novel Cardiac Devices. He is actively undertaking the animal phase of implanting innovative cardiac devices at the University of Manchester.
