Dr Kirsty Haslam

Dr Kirsty Haslam is a compassionate Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Rheumatologist who provides expert, child-centred care for infants, children, and young people. Taking a reassuring and family-focused approach, Dr Haslam works closely with parents and carers to deliver thorough diagnostic assessments and ongoing care plans tailored to each child's individual health and developmental needs.

Dr Haslam qualified in medicine in Nottingham in 1997. She subsequently completed extensive post-graduate Paediatric training across regional medical networks in Leeds and Manchester, followed by sub-specialist higher training in Paediatric Rheumatology. This comprehensive medical education provided her with a firm foundation in both general paediatric medicine and complex rheumatological conditions.

Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of general and sub-specialist paediatric conditions, with particular focus on juvenile inflammatory, musculoskeletal, and autoimmune disorders. Dr Haslam routinely collaborates with multi-disciplinary colleagues, delivering combined specialist clinics alongside Paediatric Gastroenterology and Paediatric Neurology teams to care for children with complex, multi-system health needs. Beyond her routine clinical consultations, she is actively involved in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving care and outcomes for children with rare rheumatological conditions.
