Dr Jenny Messenger

Dr Jenny Messenger is a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine, with over 20 years’ experience in the field.

During her training, she conducted research into venous thromboembolic disease at the Vascular Institute, King’s College Hospital, London. She continues to serve as Principal Investigator for lung cancer–related clinical trials.

Her subspecialist interests include lung cancer, interventional bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), pleural disease, and targeted lung health check screening. She also has extensive experience in the management of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and breathlessness of unknown cause.

Dr Messenger is currently the Clinical Director for Speciality Medicine at both the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. She is also the Clinical Director for the Sussex Lung Cancer Screening Programme and was, until recently, Co-Chair of the Surrey and Sussex Lung Cancer Alliance.

She works closely with a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including Respiratory Physiotherapists, to provide comprehensive support in managing respiratory conditions.
