Dr Daniel Neville

Dr Daniel Neville is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine in Portsmouth and specialises in treating people with breathing problems. He is an expert in Asthma, COPD and chronic cough. He is passionate about ensuring patients are at the very centre of his clinical care and treats everyone with compassion and kindness.

Dr Neville assesses and manages a broad range of respiratory symptoms and conditions, including breathlessness, cough, wheeze and chest tightness. He provides comprehensive diagnostic testing including spirometry, Chest X-ray interpretation and flexible bronchoscopy. He is driven by a passion to optimise long-term clinical outcomes for patients suffering from chronic respiratory conditions.

He graduated with distinction in clinical practice from the prestigious Imperial College London. Demonstrating an early commitment to academic excellence, he was awarded a Clinical Research Network (CRN) fellowship to investigate novel diagnostic technologies for complex breathlessness. He has won national prizes for his research from the British Thoracic Society and British Lung Foundation.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Neville is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth and Deputy Clinical Director for the national e-learning for healthcare programme for newly qualified doctors. He is an educator and supervises general medicine and respiratory trainee doctors as well as delivering national educational webinars on COPD and Asthma.

As the Clinical lead at the Portsmouth Research Hub, he is deeply involved in clinical research, aiming to transform care delivery through innovation and advance treatment options for his patients. He is recognised for his commitment to clinical excellence and his forward-thinking approach to healthcare.
