Dr Jason Warren

Dr Jason Warren is a Consultant Neurologist and Professor of Neurology specialising in cognitive and behavioural neurology. He is dedicated to providing thorough diagnostic evaluations and patient-focused management for individuals experiencing complex cognitive and neurodegenerative conditions. Through an empathetic and professional approach, Dr Warren works closely with patients and their families to help navigate the complexities of brain health and cognitive changes.

Dr Warren completed his initial medical training at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours in 1990 and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 1993. He went on to complete his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2005. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), which he obtained in 2000, demonstrating his rigorous post-graduate qualification and commitment to international clinical standards.

Within his clinical practice, Dr Warren maintains specialised expertise in cognitive disorders, with a particular focus on frontotemporal dementias, progressive aphasias, auditory agnosias, and central disorders of hearing. He holds a unique focus in the neurology of music and how complex sounds and speech are processed by the brain in neurodegenerative conditions. To assist in accurate diagnosis and tailored patient care, he utilises comprehensive cognitive neuropsychological evaluations alongside physiological recordings and advanced neuroimaging tools such as structural MRI, functional MRI, and magnetoencephalography (MEG).
