An Excellent Doctor and Excellent Service On the 18th September 2023 I was extremely nervous when I attended my appointment to see Dr Dominic Mort a Consultant Neurologist. This was an initial consultation regarding my Facial Paralysis. Dr Mort met me in reception and straightaway put me at ease with his unassuming professional manner. Dr Mort listened to my concerns and was empathetic, he explained each medical term for my symptoms and the prognosis in easy-to-understand terms. Dr Mort clearly understood how this condition impacts one’s confidence. Dr Mort was sensitive in examining my face and answered my many questions without making me feel rushed. I realised Dr Mort is one of those rare respectful professionals who are experts in their field however, still able to explain what medical jargon means in a relaxed way, without being patronising. Everything Dr Mort discussed with me made sense, he was honest about my condition, and at times humorous. I left my appointment feeling as if I had visited a good friend who was an expert on my condition and had given me excellent advice which removed my anxiety. Dr Mort would make a great part time lecturer to other doctors to impart his vast medical knowledge and wonderful bedside manner. Dr Mort has put my mind at rest, I would not hesitate in recommending this excellent doctor, 10 out of 10 Dr Mort.
