Dr Hanna Lythgoe

Dr Hanna Lythgoe is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Rheumatology Consultant dedicated to providing compassionate, child-focused healthcare. She specialises in diagnosing and managing a broad range of autoimmune, autoinflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders in children and young people. Working closely with families, Dr Lythgoe ensures that every young patient receives personalised, reassuring care designed to suppress disease activity, manage symptoms, and support overall long-term well-being.

Dr Lythgoe completed her medical degree (MBChB) before undertaking specialised postgraduate training in general paediatrics and subspecialist paediatric rheumatology. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). In addition to her clinical qualifications, she maintains active professional memberships with key medical organisations, including the British Society for Rheumatology and the Paediatric Rheumatology European Society.

Her clinical practice encompasses a wide spectrum of complex paediatric conditions, with extensive expertise in managing juvenile-onset systemic lupus erythematosus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, juvenile localised scleroderma, and childhood vasculitis. Dr Lythgoe is also deeply committed to medical research, contributing to national clinical guidelines and multi-centre studies aimed at advancing therapeutic strategies and improving outcomes for young patients living with rheumatic diseases.
