Dr Eric Finlay

Dr Eric Finlay is a Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist who is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care to young patients and their families. With extensive expertise in general child health and specialised paediatric kidney care, he works collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver thorough clinical evaluations and individualised care plans tailored to the unique developmental needs of infants, children, and young people.

In his clinical practice, Dr Finlay manages a broad spectrum of general paediatric and specialist kidney conditions. His primary clinical interests encompass paediatric nephrology, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, nephrotic syndrome, renal stone disease, and childhood hypertension. Furthermore, Dr Finlay is experienced in overseeing complex renal therapies, including paediatric dialysis, renal replacement therapy, and kidney transplantation management, ensuring that each young patient receives comprehensive and reassuring care throughout their treatment.

Dr Finlay completed his medical education with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master of Science (MSc). He further advanced his specialist paediatric training by gaining the Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and achieving Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in Paediatrics, MRCP (Paediatrics, UK). To uphold the highest standards of clinical practice and professional development, Dr Finlay maintains active membership with the Medical Protection Society.
