Mr Emad AlJaaly

Mr Emad AlJaaly is a highly skilled and experienced consultant cardiac surgeon at Cromwell Hospital, known for his expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and a range of complex procedures. 

He developed his surgical skills through training experiences in multiple countries, gaining a diverse range of expertise in the field. In 2014, he secured the only prestigious Cardiothoracic Surgery Academic Clinical Fellowship (ACF) post, part of the National Training Number (NTN) in the United Kingdom. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr AlJaaly is involved in research, leading two clinical randomised trials and conducting impactful research in cardiac surgery. His research achievements led to the award of a PhD from Imperial College London in 2019.

He completed his national training program, obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, and was granted the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2020. Following his CCT, he pursued an Advanced Aortic Fellowship, further expanding his skill set in major aortic procedures.

He held locum consultant positions at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust before his final substantive appointment at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in October 2022.
