Sainsbury Wing or Wolfson Fertility Centre at Hammersmith Hospital

Hard to find the Sainsbury wing with very poor signage within the hospital. No joining instructions until I asked. Didn’t feel like a private medicine experience. Bad location for public transport.

Need improvement: bathrooms are really dirty. It’s stressful to use them

The consultant clearly goes above and beyond to help patients. However, during my preparation for the frozen embryo transfer, I felt the process was rushed and disorganised, adding to the stress. I was told to come to the clinic for a blood test as soon as possible, however, when I arrived, I was told to leave and come back 45 minutes later because everyone was in an MDT meeting. The same day, I was called after 5pm to ask if I had the prescription for the trigger injection because I had to take it that evening- I did not, so I had to make do without. Even during the embryo transfer process, the consultant was already talking about the next transfer, disregarding any hope for the current cycle! I know everyone is probably trying their best, but I can't help feeling so let down by the system.

The staff are all really friendly, caring & professional. It would perhaps be helpful when checking in at reception if information could be given about if the clinic is running late - it’s understand these things happen but sometimes there’s no clear information about how long you’ll be waiting.

The wait list management is not very effective for the scans, for one my scans i had to wait 40 mins because i was eliminated from the list by accident

I ordered lunch online prior to coming in, as requested. When I arrived, I was told that they had no record of this, and I was asked to reorder. I could not believe it when I was told, that I couldn't order two sandwiches, as only one was allowed! On a day procedure including an overnight stay( which I didn't need) costing nearly £15K! I was also told that I had to order supper, despite the fact that I wasn't staying in, and was told that I could cancel it if I left that day. At 4 45 pm, before I left, supper arrived!
