Overall I was impressed but a couple of aspects need attention. Communications-plaster/dressing in groin area-Catheter could be used to relieve full bladder.

The nursing staff on day ward were kind and friendly - underlying feeling was that perhaps staff needed bit more guidance/training - small things cannula done badly with pain and even having said it was hurting I was told it was ok but they had to re-do in theatre as was not ok. Left in soiled ‘diaper’ post op for over 2 hours. Asked at time was told 15 mins to wait after an hour asked again - again told 15 mins - at 2 hours I asked if I could go and do myself and nurse had obviously completely forgotten. She was very apologetic and had genuinely forgotten spent so long engrossed on hercomputer that I sort of felt basic care was a bit forgotten. This is not a complaint just comments to help it get better.
