I am an experienced female gastroenterologist with a special interest in upper GI (oesophageal and stomach) problems as well as general gastroenterology and hepatology

i am a diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist-i perform dilatation/stent/laser/banding and treatment of bleeding stomach ulcers as well as polyp removal in the colon

I look after patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (Ulcerative colitis and Crohns disease) and irritable bowel syndrome

I have a research interest in Barrett's oesophagus, oesophageal cancer and eosinophilic oesophagitis and cytosponge and am involved in several national studies including ASPect Boss Delta riskq prospero and writing guidelines for Eosinophilic oesophagitis

I am currently Chairman of the Oesophageal Section of the British Society of Gastroenterology and have been on the committee Supporting Women in Gastroenterology

I have weekly thursday afternoon outpatients at Spire Harpenden and can perform endoscopy at Spire Harpenden, Pinehill hospital and East and North Herts hospitals (Lister and QE2)
