Dr. Cara Hendry

Dr. Cara Hendry is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide array of heart and circulatory conditions. She is committed to improving cardiovascular health through accurate diagnosis, evidence-based interventions, and individualised treatment strategies. With an objective and empathetic approach, Dr. Hendry works alongside patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver reassuring, high-quality cardiac care.

As a specialist in Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Hendry subspecialises in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and the management of complex coronary artery disease. Her clinical focus extends to critical cardiac care, including the emergency treatment of cardiogenic shock, acute coronary syndromes, and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. She also maintains an active interest in clinical governance, cardioprotection, patient safety, and emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) education.

Dr. Hendry graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from the University of Glasgow in 1997. She subsequently completed specialist cardiology training alongside research in cardioprotection, earning her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2012. She further advanced her procedural expertise through a specialist interventional cardiology fellowship and holds a Master of Laws (LLM). A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Dr. Hendry actively contributes to national professional bodies and serves as Vice President of Corporate and Finance for the British Cardiovascular Society.
