About Dr Joseph Mills
Dr Joseph Mills is a highly skilled consultant cardiologist with a special interest in coronary heart disease, risk assessment and treatment. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care, with a focus on risk stratification and factor modulation. Dr Mills completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training at Cambridge University, and received research training from the British Heart Foundation. He completed his cardiology training in Cambridge and East Anglia, with additional training in interventional cardiology in Bergen, Norway. He was appointed as a Cardiology Consultant at the Cardiothoracic Centre, Liverpool in 2007.
Dr Mills has a particular interest in coronary heart disease, heart failure, and metabolic syndrome. He offers a range of treatments, including cardioversion, coronary angioplasty, ECG monitoring, and exercise ECG. Dr Mills is also experienced in treating cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, TAVI valve assessment, and treatment. He is committed to ongoing research and has recently been awarded a Cambridge University prize for his Doctorate of Medicine thesis. He hopes to continue both clinical and non-clinical research to benefit his patients in the North West. Dr Mills is highly respected in his field and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
