Dr. Anna Thompson

Dr Anna Thompson is an experienced Consultant Oncologist at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust and University College London Hospital (UCLH). She completed her oncology training in London and specialises in the oncology treatment of Head and Neck (H&N) cancer using radiotherapy, including Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and Proton Beam Therapy (PBT), and systemic therapies including chemotherapy and Immunotherapy where appropriate. She has undertaken Clinical Fellowships in H&N radiotherapy at the British Columbia Cancer Agency and in PBT at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has been involved in a number of H&N clinical trials using both Photon and Proton radiotherapy and is particulaly interested in reducing the long term side effects of H&N radiotherapy. She has published 15 papers in her specialised field, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge and treatment methods.

In her capacity as a Consultant Oncologist, Dr Thompson is dedicated to delivering personalised and effective care. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team she strives to enhance treatment outcomes and improve the overall patient experience.
