Dr Mohammad Naveed Sarwar

Dr. Naveed Sarwar is an accomplished Consultant Medical Oncologist with eight years of experience at a prominent London Cancer Centre. His expertise lies in the management of Urological and Breast Cancers, specialising in delivering a wide range of treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, endocrine therapy, and targeted therapies. Dr. Sarwar's specific focus areas include Genito-urinary cancers (prostate, kidney, testes, and bladder), Breast cancer, and Gynaecological Malignancies.

As a lead oncologist for the treatment of renal and testicular cancer in Essex, he has contributed to peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, Dr. Sarwar holds the role of lead medical oncologist and lead for clinical research in gynaecological cancers in Essex. His research interests involve exploring the molecular mechanisms that determine sensitivity and resistance to endocrine therapy in breast cancer, as well as conducting clinical trials of novel biological agents for breast cancer and urological cancers.

Dr. Sarwar's dedication to the field is reflected in his involvement in the training of junior doctors. He is a member of the Medical Oncology Specialist Training Committee for the London Deanery.

Dr Sarwar earned his medical degree at St George's Hospital Medical School in London. Subsequently, he underwent extensive oncology training at renowned hospitals including the Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Chelsea and Westminster, Mount Vernon, and The Royal Marsden hospitals. During 2000 to 2004, he served as a Clinical Research Fellow for Cancer Research UK and completed his PhD, focusing on investigating resistance to endocrine therapies in breast cancer at Imperial College London. Dr. Sarwar has published research on this topic and various other aspects of oncology.
