Dr Anna Maitre is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people. Working across acute paediatric settings and specialised neonatal care environments, Dr Maitre delivers tailored medical care for newborn infants requiring intensive support, as well as children presenting with a wide variety of general paediatric health conditions. Her patient-centred approach ensures that young patients and their families receive reassuring, expert guidance throughout diagnosis, inpatient treatment, and ongoing care.

In her clinical practice, Dr Maitre focuses on neonatal intensive care, maternity and post-natal ward management, and acute paediatric assessment. She oversees complex medical needs in vulnerable newborns, manages inpatient admissions on paediatric wards, and conducts comprehensive outpatient consultations. Additionally, Dr Maitre actively contributes to clinical governance and child health reviews, overseeing detailed infant case reviews to continuously advance patient safety standards and care outcomes.

Beyond direct patient care, Dr Maitre is dedicated to clinical education and professional training. Holding senior educational leadership roles as a Paediatric College Tutor and Simulation Lead, she actively mentors junior doctors and leads simulation-based training initiatives for multidisciplinary clinical teams.
