Dr. Anjum Gandhi is a paediatrician who provides comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients. His private practice mirrors his NHS practice, which is based at Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital.
He sees patients referred by their general practitioners for a variety of paediatric problems, including common complaints such as wheezing, asthma, eczema, constipation, diarrhoea, and urine infections. Growth concerns are also within his scope of expertise.
Dr Gandhi gained his medical degree in 1989 from Rajasthan University. He also has specialised training in cardiology, of which he undertook at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. He can provide a one-stop assessment of heart-related concerns such as heart murmurs, faints, palpitations, and chest pains. He is able to offer his patients echocardiography (an ultrasound scan of the heart).
Consultations last 30 to 45 minutes, and there is an opportunity to discuss in detail any concerns the patient and family have. Additionally, a thorough clinical examination will be performed, followed by a discussion of management plans moving forward.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gandhi is active in research with a number of publications to his name. He has also been involved in authoring of book chapters and has spoken at numerous conferences on the subject of paediatric cardiology.
