Dr Waheeda Owadally

Dr Waheeda Owadally is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the non-surgical management of malignant conditions. She focuses on providing comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centred care for individuals diagnosed with solid tumours, with a primary clinical emphasis on thoracic and endocrine cancers. Working closely within multidisciplinary medical teams, she develops tailored treatment plans designed to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes while prioritising patient well-being and quality of life.

Her clinical expertise encompasses advanced radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR), alongside systemic anti-cancer treatments. In addition to her direct patient care duties, Dr Owadally serves as a Clinical Governance Lead, overseeing clinical audit activities and quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of clinical excellence. She is also actively involved in oncology research and clinical trials, participating in multi-centre studies aimed at refining and advancing modern cancer treatments.

Dr Owadally completed her primary medical education, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She subsequently undertook higher specialist postgraduate training in oncology, achieving Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR). Her commitment to advancing oncology practice is further reflected in her academic contributions to medical literature, including co-authoring chapters in clinical oncology textbooks and publishing research in peer-reviewed journals.
