Dr Vinod Patil

Dr Patil is a consultant anaesthetist. They will be involved in a patient's care from the time the surgery is scheduled until the patient is discharged and safely home following the operation. Dr Patil ensures that patients are fit to proceed with anaesthesia and surgery following a thorough pre-anaesthetic assessment and correction of any existing medical conditions before surgery. On the day of the surgery, Dr Patil will meet with patients and ask them questions about their general medical health, their surgical history and previous anaesthetic experiences, if any, with the aim to prepare a safe anaesthetic plan for them and answer any questions they may have.

Dr Patil understands that taking the time to explain and reassure their patients before the anaesthetic is integral to their care and the patient receiving a positive experience. As a result of this attention to detail, Dr Patil has been awarded four clinical excellence awards at their NHS hospital for their dedication to patient safety and the highest standards of care they provide.
