Dr Vanessa Wilshaw

Dr Vanessa Wilshaw is a compassionate and dedicated Consultant Clinical Oncologist who provides comprehensive care for individuals facing a range of oncological conditions. Specialising in non-surgical cancer therapies, she focuses on delivering patient-centred treatment pathways designed to achieve optimal clinical outcomes while supporting patient well-being. Dr Wilshaw works closely alongside multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure each individual receives well-coordinated, tailored care throughout their treatment journey.

Her clinical practice covers a broad range of solid and blood-related cancers, with specialised focus on colorectal cancers, haematological malignancies, and cancers of unknown primary origin. In her role as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Dr Wilshaw employs advanced therapeutic interventions, including targeted radiotherapy and systemic treatments, to manage complex cases effectively and provide individualised care plans. She also serves as a Lead Clinician for Radiation Services, overseeing high standards of patient care in radiation oncology.

Dr Wilshaw obtained her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Leicester before completing postgraduate specialist training in Clinical Oncology. She holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).
