Dr Thomas Pinkney

Dr Thomas Pinkney is an accomplished Consultant General Surgeon and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon who provides expert care for patients requiring surgical treatment for abdominal and digestive conditions. Specialising in general and colorectal procedures, he is dedicated to delivering patient-centred care that prioritises safety, clinical excellence, and optimal recovery. He works collaboratively within multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure that every individual receives a personalised and comprehensive treatment plan.

His primary clinical focus includes the surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease, particularly Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In addition, Dr Pinkney possesses specialist expertise in laparoscopic bowel procedures, stoma surgery, and complex abdominal interventions. Dr Pinkney completed his undergraduate medical training, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Birmingham in 2000.
