Dr Syed Kabir

Dr Syed Kabir is a highly skilled Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon with extensive expertise in managing complex brain and spine conditions. He specialises in diagnosing and treating degenerative spine disorders, cranial trauma, and intracranial tumours using advanced, evidence-based surgical techniques. Committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care, Dr Kabir focuses on delivering tailored treatment plans that optimise individual health outcomes and restore quality of life.

His clinical practice encompasses a broad array of neurosurgical and spinal interventions, including minimally invasive procedures and complex reconstructions. Dr Kabir routinely manages conditions such as chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma, spinal tumours, and Chiari malformation. Utilising sophisticated microsurgical and keyhole methods, he performs procedures such as lumbar and cervical discectomies, spinal decompressions, spinal fusion, vertebroplasty, and radiofrequency ablation to alleviate pain and improve mobility.

Dr Kabir completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Dhaka Medical College in 1996. He subsequently undertook higher neurosurgical training in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Neurosurgery in 2008 alongside Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Neurosurgery. To further hone his technical capabilities, he completed advanced fellowship training in complex spinal surgery in London. Dr Kabir is a member of the General Medical Council, the Society of British Neurosurgeons, and the Medical Protection Society.
