Dr Anjum Qureshi

I suffer with collapsed discs and two discs in my lower back protruding into the nerves. Without treatment I am unable to walk more than ten yards without extreme pain or travel in a car for more than 25 minutes, also it is painful ascending stairs. Every few weeks I suffer from the only way I can describe is electric shocks down the right side of my body which puts the muscles into painful spasm. I have been told on numerous occasions the technology isn’t there to permanently fix it After receiving treatment (six injections in one side of my spine and a second visit for the other side), no more shocks, able to travel in a car for over an hour, walk to around two miles and get up and down stairs say on a bus that I am unable to do without treatment.

I recently underwent a surgical procedure under the care of Mr. Anjum Qureshi at Nuffield Health. From the initial consultation to the post-operative care, the entire experience was exceptional. Mr. Qureshi explained the procedure clearly, answered all my questions, and put my mind completely at ease. Excellent care, successful surgery, small tidy scar. Dr Qureshi visited me the day after surgery, just as I was leaving the hospital, on what appeared to be his day off just to make sure I was feeling ok after surgery. Highly recommend Dr Anjum Qureshi.

First class

Mr Qureshi performed Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion due to L4/L5 Anterolisthesis and Stenosis. I have constant sciatic pain. The surgery has stopped the pain. I only have slight pain in my right bum cheek and tightness round the incision and cage. Its only 2 months after my surgery so I'm hopeful this will go too. If I'm left with this compared to the pain I was in this is nothing.

I have received incredible care from Mr Qureshi and I can’t thank him enough for what he has done! From the initial consultation, Mr Qureshi was honest and clear when explaining my options. His expertise and skill were evident throughout the entire process which gave me complete confidence in him. He took the time to talk through the surgery and recovery and at no point did I feel rushed. The care provided has been exceptional. After a successful operation, Mr Qureshi personally called my husband after surgery and checked on me regularly whilst I was on the ward. I will be forever grateful to him!
