Dr. Syed Omair Ahmed is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Black Country Partnership Foundation NHS Trust who specialises in General Adult Psychiatry, with a particular focus on mood disorders, anxiety and psychoses. Dr Ahmed runs a private clinic at Priory Hospital Woodbourne and is also a visiting consultant at the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Birmingham. He has received numerous clinical excellence awards in recognition of his outstanding services within psychiatry.

Dr Ahmed received his medical degree from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2000 and has completed training at renowned teaching hospitals in the West Midlands. He has also been awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and is registered as a specialist with the General Medical Council.

Furthermore, he provides clinical and educational supervision to trainee doctors who aspire to become Consultants. He is also a skilled medical appraiser, making sure that all doctors are upholding national standards of good medical practice. He takes great interest in research and has published papers extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Ahmed also specialises in treating medical professionals and other healthcare workers, as well as providing medico-legal reports if required.
