Dr Shiyam Kumar

Dr Shiyam Kumar is a dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist who provides expert, patient-centred care for individuals diagnosed with solid tumours. Specialising in the non-surgical management of cancer, he works collaboratively to guide patients through every stage of their treatment journey. Dr Kumar is committed to delivering clear, reassuring communication, helping patients and their families understand complex treatment options and feel fully supported throughout their care.

Dr Kumar completed his undergraduate medical qualification in 1998 before undertaking specialist postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, completing his higher training in 2008. His credentials include Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), as well as Fellowships of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in both Medicine and Medical Oncology (FCPS). His extensive training equips him with a deep understanding of both general internal medicine and advanced cancer therapies.

In his clinical practice, Dr Kumar focuses predominantly on colorectal and urological cancers, including colon, kidney, prostate, and bladder malignancies. He specialises in administering modern systemic anti-cancer treatments, including targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy. Working as part of multidisciplinary clinical teams, Dr Kumar helps design personalised, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs and treatment goals, with a focus on optimising clinical outcomes and maintaining quality of life.
