Dr Sally Johnson is a Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist who provides specialised medical care for infants, children, and young adults with kidney conditions. Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, Dr Johnson is committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care tailored to the individual needs of young patients and their families. Her clinical approach focuses on comprehensive management, accurate diagnosis, and reassuring ongoing support to ensure children with renal conditions can live well and achieve optimal health outcomes.

Dr Johnson possesses extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing complex and rare paediatric renal diseases. Her main clinical interests encompass Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome, atypical Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome, C3 Glomerulopathy, and complement-mediated renal disorders. Additionally, she supports families affected by inherited kidney conditions through specialist renal family genetics services, managing acute kidney injuries and glomerulonephritis while delivering advanced biological and targeted therapeutic treatments.

Dr Johnson completed her clinical and academic postgraduate training in the West Midlands, earning a PhD with a research focus on atypical Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome. She maintains active professional involvement with national medical bodies, having served as Research Secretary for the British Association for Paediatric Nephrology and as Chair of the Paediatric Nephrology Clinical Studies Group.
