With over 30 years of experience in paediatrics, Dr. Arbind Gupta is a highly dedicated and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician, committed to providing exceptional healthcare to children of all ages. Having spent 18 years in the NHS, Dr. Gupta has honed his expertise, particularly in neurodevelopmental and sleep disorders. For five years, he served as a Substantive Consultant Community Paediatrician at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr. Gupta provides comprehensive care for children with neurodevelopmental conditions, offering medications based on their known efficacies and limitations. He sets clear treatment goals and expectations from the outset of every consultation, ensuring the best outcomes for his patients.

With a background as an acute paediatrician, Dr. Gupta has spent 30 years addressing a wide range of general paediatric issues, further enhancing his expertise as a community and developmental paediatrician. For the past five years, he has specialised in autism assessments, taking a child-centric approach that focuses on the child’s strengths and needs rather than solely on diagnostic labels. These assessments are conducted collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic care.

Dr. Gupta is highly skilled in the evaluation and management of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), employing a comprehensive analysis of rating scales, school feedback, and the overall impact of ADHD on the child’s daily life. He prescribes both stimulant and non-stimulant medications, tailoring treatment choices to each child's needs after thorough consultations with both parents and educational institutions.

Recognising the critical role of sleep management in neurodevelopmental disorders, Dr. Gupta has successfully implemented pharmacological interventions to address insomnia, receiving positive feedback from parents for improved sleep outcomes. His approach is always holistic and inclusive, ensuring that interventions are personalised, culturally sensitive, and aligned with the family’s values and needs.
