About Dr Rajiv Sood
Dr Rajiv Sood is a Consultant, specialising in Paediatrics, since 1998. He has received training in the UK in several tertiary paediatric units in university teaching hospitals. Furthermore, he has completed specialist training in neonatal intensive care (level 3), paediatric intensive care (PICU), neurology, allergy, community and general paediatrics, endocrinology, diabetes, ambulatory paediatrics, and developmental paediatrics. With all of his training and work put together, he has more than 35 years of clinical experience.
Within paediatrics, his specialist interest includes general paediatrics, covering all aspects of children's health and development, allergy, immunotherapy, urgent medical problems and food challenges. He provides support to allergy nurse specialist clinics.
Dr Sood works in both general paediatrics and allergy clinics. He treats food, nuts, skin, drug and respiratory allergies. He also carries out open food challenges through medical supervision and provides training to patients in carrying out adrenaline autoinjectors e.g. epi-pen and Jext and Basic Life Support (BLS). He also provides immunotherapy for allergies that do not respond to the medicine treatments e.g. grass pollen, tree pollen and house dust mite allergy.
He has achieved 8 Clinical Excellence Awards from The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA).

Dr Sood helped with my son’s allergies. He had urticaria and normal allergies Dr Sood was excellent, he immediately pinpointed what could be wrong, sent my son for comprehensive testing and then came back with a sustainable treatment plan His manner was amazing, he engaged a 5 year old boy to explain his symptoms and reassure my son it was being dealt with, no question from my son was too much trouble for him, even odd questions about emergency buttons and nurses jobs Thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend Dr Sood
Dr Sood listened to me very carefully, he explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease. He is very professional and thorough. The whole visit was well organised and respectful.
Provided us the tube that we needed to get an information across. Good knowledge and clear plan to resolve our issues which is greatly appreciated. Now we just have to wait to see the results to determine whether correct plan had been implemented
