Dr Richard Crossley

Dr Richard Crossley is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the diagnosis and non-surgical management of complex cancers. As Clinical Lead for Upper Gastrointestinal Cancers, he possesses expert knowledge in managing malignancies of the digestive system and endocrine organs. Dr Crossley is dedicated to delivering reassuring, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals under his care receive thoroughly considered treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.

In his clinical practice, Dr Crossley focuses on the management of upper gastrointestinal, lower gastrointestinal, and thyroid cancers. His expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of modern oncological therapies, including advanced chemotherapy regimens, targeted biological therapies, immunotherapy, and precision radiotherapy. Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams, he coordinates comprehensive cancer care pathways designed to optimise clinical outcomes and support patients throughout every stage of their treatment.

Dr Crossley obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Sheffield. Following his undergraduate medical studies, he completed specialist clinical oncology training before being appointed as a Consultant. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), reflecting his adherence to the highest professional standards in clinical practice.
