Dr Renu Khetan

Dr Renu Khetan is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and young people. Focusing on the physical, emotional, and developmental wellbeing of young patients, she works collaboratively with families to ensure every child receives tailored, high-quality clinical care. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of general paediatric conditions, providing clear diagnostic evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and reassuring guidance to parents and carers.

Dr Khetan has developed a particular sub-specialty focus in paediatric respiratory medicine. She leads clinical services designed to support children with complex respiratory health needs, including paediatric asthma, preschool wheeze, and sleep-disordered breathing. Her expertise includes overseeing specialised respiratory investigations such as spirometry and overnight oximetry, formulating personalised asthma management plans, and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary care. She is also committed to managing shared-care pathways for chronic chest conditions and facilitating smooth healthcare transitions for young people moving into adult services.

Having completed higher specialist training in general Paediatrics with accredited sub-specialty expertise in paediatric respiratory medicine, Dr Khetan remains actively engaged in medical education, service improvement, and clinical leadership. She has contributed significantly to national educational standards by co-authoring specialist training curricula for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and leads regional peer mentoring initiatives for paediatric colleagues.
