Dr Rachel Shute

Dr Rachel Shute is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert, compassionate medical care for infants, children, and young people. Specialising in general child health, she is dedicated to guiding families through the diagnosis and management of a wide range of childhood health conditions. Her approach combines thorough clinical assessment with a reassuring, family-centred manner, ensuring that young patients feel safe and supported during every consultation.

In her daily practice, Dr Shute focuses on general and ambulatory paediatrics, as well as paediatric nephrology. She offers comprehensive care for acute paediatric conditions, ongoing management for chronic illnesses, and preventive health guidance tailored to growing children. Beyond her direct clinical responsibilities, Dr Shute is actively involved in medical education, mentoring healthcare trainees in clinical medicine to promote high standards of patient care across the profession.

Dr Shute qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).
