From my emaim describing what seemed to me a trivial eye problem, Professor Bourne recognised the urgency for treatment, fitting us in before his clinic and alerting, the retinal detahment repair team at Addenbrookes to our arrical. That the operation the next morning had gone weĺl was cnfirmed by a check the following. day. My husband and I are so glad to have found Professor Bourne. The 2 cataract operations that he did for, each of us in 2025 were pleasant experiences with sucessful outcomes. Professor Bourne has alwsys been so knowlegible kind, helpful and skilful in surgery. We have recommended him to several friends of our age and so needing cataract surgery. They too have all been very happy, both to meet the Professor and recieve treatment from him.
As it happened, I had a number of procedures following the cataract surgery itself, while these were all seen to at the opportune moment I acquired the varifocals as intended only recently, so am just now getting used to these. Everything went well, and I was offered the best advice.
Pro Bourne has been monitoring and performed a number of procedures over the years and continues to do so. I find him to be very professional and he takes the time to explain my current situation and what we should do going forward.
