I received excellent treatment from Dr Philip Alexander and am most grateful to have had the benefit of his care and expertise regarding my cataract operations. I would also like to add that Sarah Hesketh, his secretary, kept me well informed throughout. Thank you both. Rosie G

I went for post op outpatients. I am so thrilled with both my treatment and my results. It has been life changing. Excellent results. I felt very relaxed and confident in the surgeons abilities. As a nurse myself it’s often hard to trust other healthcare providers.

I recently underwent right eye cataract surgery at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital under the care of Mr Philip Alexander, and I could not be more pleased with the experience and outcome. From my initial consultation through to the surgery itself, Mr Alexander was calm, professional, and reassuring. I had some reservations regarding the recommendation of a toric lens replacement, but Mr Alexander took the time to carefully explain the procedure, the expected benefits, and any associated risks. His clear communication and willingness to answer all of my questions gave me complete confidence in the treatment plan and helped alleviate any concerns I had. On the day of surgery, the entire team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital were excellent. The staff in the biometrics department were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, ensuring that all measurements and assessments were carried out thoroughly. The theatre staff were professional and highly reassuring throughout the procedure, helping me feel relaxed and well cared for. The day ward nurses were equally outstanding, providing attentive care and support before and after surgery and making the whole experience as comfortable as possible. The surgery itself went smoothly, and I felt I was in extremely capable hands throughout. The combination of Mr Alexander’s expertise, calm demeanour, and professionalism, together with the excellent support from all the hospital staff, made what could have been a daunting experience remarkably straightforward and stress-free. Based on my experience, I have absolutely no hesitation in proceedin...

I am claustrophobic and was very apprehensive about having my face covered during my procedure. Mr. Alexander was very understanding and helpful. He cut a hole in the sheet so that I could breathe easily, I had diazapam before surgery and a nurse to hold my hand. I did not feel a thing and was not at all stressed. He explained everything in full before and after surgery. All the nurses were friendly and reassuring. The vision in my right eye is now excellent, I am now booking an appointment to have a cataract removed from my other eye.

My experience was excellent, to the extent that the only very slight criticism I have is that there wasn't brown bread for my requested sandwich!
