Dr Prita Daliya

Dr Prita Daliya is an accomplished Consultant General Surgeon with specialised expertise in colorectal surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, she focuses on tailoring surgical interventions to meet the individual needs of each patient. Her clinical practice encompasses a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, combining modern techniques with an empathetic, patient-centred approach to support patient recovery and safety.

Dr Daliya earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Aberdeen before completing both her basic and higher surgical training in the East Midlands. Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic and clinical excellence, she earned a Doctorate (PhD) focusing on patient-reported outcome measures through a joint research fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She subsequently undertook advanced post-qualification fellowships in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Dr Daliya is a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS and FRCS) and actively participates in major surgical organisations, including the British Hernia Society and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.

With broad experience in general and gastrointestinal surgical procedures, Dr Daliya possesses particular expertise in advanced hernia repairs and minimally invasive surgery. Her clinical interests include complex abdominal wall reconstruction, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy. By incorporating clinical research into her practice, Dr Daliya remains dedicated to advancing patient-reported outcomes and delivering optimal, evidence-based surgical care.
